The Goal
Transforming a historic space into a modern cocktail bar while paying homage to the building once home to an apothecary, mixing past and present with original millwork and craft cocktails.
Our Approach
The Chinburg team was tasked to create a functional modern cocktail bar, while maintaining the rich history that the original apothecary provides. The 150+ year old historic building presented challenges that the team creatively overcame with custom-tailored solutions. These included rebuilding the wood flooring and preserving the original millwork, which features Latin engravings of once-common medicines and herbs, serving as The Exeter Apothecary‘s centerpiece.
