About the Property
Built in the 1860s and 70s by Irish and Franco-Americans, the Hill Mill sits between Chestnut and Cedar Streets, and between the downtown Lewiston Upper Canal and the Androscoggin river a little further south. Its 460,000-square-foot red brick building used to be a textile mill started by Thomas J Hill in 1850 but now houses an assortment of different sized light industrial and craft businesses inside its over six-acre complex, some of which have been in the building for decades.
Current Tenants
In addition to the emerging businesses and craft-related enterprises operating in the mill there are also distributors, textile and leather manufacturers, a gym, and machine shops. Join this community of makers and businesses and become part of the wonderful community of present and future growth in downtown Lewiston.
